By now you know I am a history buff and big fan of PBS. So it will come as no surprise that on this President’s Day, I am pleased to introduce you to a new Presidential collection called 60-SECOND PRESIDENTS brought to you by PBS LearningMedia and PBS Digital Studios.

The Give app is a cute little App full of doing goodness in the palm of your (iPhone) hand. Thanks to a partnership with Guidestar, the Give app provides mobile access to donate to more than 1.9 million nonprofit organizations.

I’ve written about videos in the past and how they can turn viewers into advocates for and contributors to your organizations. We now have compelling evidence that shows for a third of all donors between the ages of 18 and 48, video is important to the causes they support. No surprise that the majority of Millennials (56%) view online videos about charities they support, and nearly half (46%) of Gen Xers (including me) do the same. Have you ever felt inspired to write a thank you note, but you didn’t have any stamps or appropriate thank you cards in your magic drawer? A clever new iPad app aims to solve our thank you note challenges and “revives the old school tradition” of handwritten cards. I downloaded Felt today after my friend emailed that it was available on the Apple App Store. (Full disclosure: her son’s design team worked on the app). She wrote:
I think it’s pretty cool and hope it will get us all back on track with our “thank you’s!” (more…)

This is not your typical crowdfunding site.
Compared to industry leader Kickstarter, Causeway offers something exclusive for a community. Forbes contributor Ryan Caldbeck said in his 2013 crowdfunding predictions: “While Kickstarter can be successful as the Amazon.com of crowdfunding, (more…)
